The decision of where to offer services is decided by the DMS board, staff, and is based on resources, area need, and prevalence of diabetes. We hope to be able to offer diabetes education and support to underserved communities all over the state of North Carolina soon.
Participants must be referred by their physician and scheduled for class. If you live near one of our current locations and have diabetes, please call us for information on obtaining a referral from your physician. Participants from any physician are welcome.
Even though we do still use our Diabetes Bus for Community and Partners Events, most of our diabetes management classes are held in the physician offices.
